Vox AC4TVH Reconditioned 4W Variable Class Amp Review
This amp is just plain great, good, and very usable for recording. It works excellently with the Vox 1-12 Cabinet. It works very well with a Chorus pedal, Ibanez Tube Screamer TS-9. It can produce a full array of tones with just a little experimentation. I've been using it with single coil pickups. It has the Vox "jangle."

Vox AC4TVH Reconditioned 4W Variable Class Amp Overview
The Class A Vox AC4TVH retains the distinctive EL84 power tube found on the original Vox AC4. But, it now features a 12AX7 powered preamplifier that works in tandem with the EL84. Pair it with the matching V112TV 1x12" cabinet, and expect retro-chic tone - and that's also the vibe you're going to get, as the Vox AC4TVH features a 1958 AC15-style "TV" front design, with the Vox's signature diamond grillecloth. All in all, this impressive feature sets makes the AC4TVH one of the best bang-for-your-buck amp heads available. When you're practicing - or recording - with your high-wattage all-tube amplifier, it's simply hard to achieve those classic tube tones at listening levels. The Vox AC4TVH, however, is designed to solve that problem. Already a 4-watt amp, the Vox AC4TVH gives you incredible tone when you need to crank it to reasonable levels. But, for tremendous tone at really manageable levels, you can use its built-in power attenuator to take it from four watts down to just one watt, then down to just 1/4" watt. It's the perfect partner for late night recording sessions, when you don't want to wake up the neighbors.
